A recent Case Study:
An experienced buy to let landlord had been let down by a bridging company who had offered a short term loan on a flat because they had decided to secure 2nd charges on his portfolio without his consent or the consent of the existing lenders. Having reviewed the case, it was clear that he needs a buy to let mortgage and a little more time from the vendor whilst this is secured. Buyer and Vendor agreed terms to facilitate the sale without the need of a bridging loan, saving the landlord thousands in unnecessary fees & interest.
